Q: What are "KDub Supersessions"?
A: KDub Supersessions are opportunities for riders in the Ktichener/Waterloo area to ride and get to know one another. These are our traditional ride days, but we're turning up the heat a little bit. The "KWBiking.com Ride Day"s are over, we're taking them to the next level. We aren't staying at the Aud, or Hidden Valley anymore. Instead you'll find us going to various places around Kitchener/Waterloo.
Supersessions could consist of mini-comps where the winner could get their hands on some sweet prizes, but the main purpose is just to get everyone out riding and having fun.
*Note - Our Supersessions at Chicopee will not consist of competitions of any kind.
Q: Where do these rides take place?
A: KDub Supersessions will take place at any of the following places:
- Chicopee
- McLennan Park (Commonly known as Mt. Trashmore)
- Kitchener Auditorium Skatepark
- Regency Park
- Trussler Dirt Jumps
- 403 Compound
- "Dave's Backyard"
- Industry Skatepark (winter season only)
- Inflow Skatepark (winter season only)
There could be more locations, as new spots are developing every day. So check the website, we'll always have directions to the places we're at. We could also do mass street rides, pounding our way through the tri-cities. In this case, we will specify a meeting point.
Q: How do I sign up?
A: No sign up is required. You will notice, though that some members tell us on the forums that they are coming. This is not necessary but is preferred by us so that we can get a general idea of how many people will show up in case we bring food and such.
Q: What Skill Level Must I be To Participate?
A: Most of the places we go have various lines for all skill levels, however that is not always the case. In the event that we go to a location where only a certain skill group should go, we will post and let you know ahead of time. Still, we do not discourage you from pushing yourself and learning new things. And if you really just do not want to ride, but you want to take pictures, video or just chill you are more than welcome to do so! When in doubt, ask on our forums.
Q: What Bike Should I Bring?
A: Though different bikes can be rode in the same fashion, there are times when a type of bike not ideal. (example: full supsension bikes skateparks). If you need to check what bike to bring to an event, check our forums. However, a hardtail will be sufficent for every location we go to. |
